Jamacia Myton: Staff Writer
Junior Jamaica Myton was drawn to newspaper because of her passion for writing and her desire to voice her opinions. Jamaica is close with her extended family who live in the states, and has traveled to be with her family that lives in Jamaica. She has a love of Jamaican culture and food. Her hero is Marcus Garvey, who was a leader of the Pan-Africanism mass movement in both the United States and Jamaica. In the future, she hopes to be happy and successful in whatever line of work she does, but if money were no object, Jamaica would be living on a beach with lots of dogs surrounding her. The best thing to ever happen to Jamaica was getting her dog, Jari. She is a spiritual person who does not appreciate people who interrupt, are rude, or are willfully ignorant. In her free time, Jamaica listens to R&B and soul music, and she also enjoys movies with Angelina Jolie in them. She is very excited to have the opportunity to express herself and educate her fellow peers through the Tiger! Like one of Jamaica's stories? Let her know! Email her at [email protected]
