Wrestling Team Dominates at Competition
The wrestling team performed marvelously on Saturday. Central’s annual wrestling tournament resulted in five Central wrestlers placing in the top three and a Central as a team placing second in the tournament.
In the 106 pound weight class, Marquez Jones placed first. In the 126 pound weight class, Faraz Sayyed placed second. In the 120 pound weight class, Tucker Humphries got third. In the 138 pound weight class, Marcel Molu got third. In the 145 pound weight class, Travale James got third.
This was the first meet of the wrestling season and it is a good start for the team. They still have a lot to work on to score good at state.
This tournament is especially special because it is the first time that Central has gotten in the top three of this tournament since Coach Aaron Butler started coaching. He is a young coach and has the team working hard to be successful.
The team is hoping to continue winning when they go to Van Buren on December eighth and ninth. The team is looking very exciting and all Central fans should show their support.
