Change Will Come
America will never be the same. Hallelujah, America will never be the same.
There is no more denying the oppression of black Americans. There is no more normalization of the deaths of black Americans at the hands of the police. There is no more waiting for things to change. The murder of George Floyd lit a match; America was already covered in gasoline. There is no more silence. We are screaming. We are screaming at the top of our lungs, despite the fact that we cannot breathe. Despite the fact that there are guns to our heads and knees on our necks. We scream through moments of silence; we scream with our fists in the air. We scream with our allies, we scream with the power of a God who says to not be afraid.
To those who are exhausted, living in a system set up against you: I am fighting with you. I am fighting for you. You are never alone. To those fighting alongside: Thank you for being there. You are so needed. Change will come. Hallelujah, America will never be the same.

So proud of you Emily. This article speaks volumes to past and present that we have experienced as Black Americans. The frustration that we are experiencing due to the injustices on our society. Keep speaking your voice. As you let your light shine, you give others the power to do the same.
