Basketball homecoming was a perfect game to help bring the season to a close.

The Varsity Boys team defeated Conway in the Homecoming game on February 17. The Tigers have suffered from much adversity throughout the season, but were able to fight out a win.

“This season was a roller coaster with lots of injuries, but we were able to find our grove and get some wins later in the season,” senior Henry Dudley said.

The Tigers triumphed over Conway with a final score of 54 to 63. This was a well-played game with several players making double digits of rebounds.

“I thought we played a strong game, and we’ve made lots of progress since the beginning of the season,” coach Oliver Fitzpatrick said.

After being beaten by Conway earlier in the season, it was a good win for the team.

“It was a big game for us because they beat us earlier in the season, but we’ve made great strides since then and it was a good win for the team and the student body,” Fitzpatrick said.

Not only was it a big game for the team and the student body, but also for the senior basketball players. Central had four senior players this year, Donald Richardson,  Henry Dudley, Caleb Dallimore, and Jalen Sasser.

“I love the environment of Homecoming week and the game. It was great to see the gym packed, and I am glad we were able to deliver and get the dub,” senior Donald Richardson said.

The Homecoming game was a game of redemption and a good way for the seniors to leave their season.
