Michael Sanders is running to represent Zone 3. Sanders is a Central graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Henderson State University and a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a community resources manager for the City of Little Rock in the Department of Community Programs, where he works on initiatives for youth intervention and oversees the Summer Youth Employment Program. Sanders is also an Associate Minister and Youth Pastor at the New Dora Baptist Church, and in his spare time he coaches youth athletics. One of the main positions of his campaign platform is equity among all students and schools. Sanders lives in Little Rock with his wife, Renata, and their three sons.
