Zone 6: FranSha’ Anderson
FranSha’ Anderson is running for LRSD school board Zone 6. Anderson was born and raised in Batesville, on the White River. In 1999, Anderson and her daughters relocated to Little Rock so that the children would receive the education needed. Her daughters, who are both deaf, became students at the only deaf school in the state, Arkansas School for the Deaf (ASD). Anderson became very involved with the school, she volunteered at most events and eventually became PTA president.
In 2014, a family member reached out for Anderson’s help. Her children were being put up for adoption and she wanted nothing more than her children to live with a family member. Anderson became the mother to Chloe who is now eight and Chas who is six, both students in the Little Rock School District. Adopting these two children created another opportunity to be involved in the educational success of students.
Anderson says that these are the uncertain and challenging times that call for a voice of change and she wants to be Little Rock’s advocate for change.
