Jeff Wood is running to represent Zone 9 of the Little Rock School District School Board. He currently serves as chairman of the Community Advisory Board, which was the organization that voiced community opinions under state control of the Little Rock School District. While on the Advisory Board, one of his main concerns has been to create an “evidence-based reading program to address chronic underachievement.” His platform, listed on https://www.votejeffwoods.com/, outlines work on the Advisory Board such as the reading program, advocates for a high school and pre-K in West Little Rock, increasing teacher salaries to become more competitive throughout the state, and allocating more funding to increase the quality of declining facilities. He has children that attend school in the Little Rock School District, and is running to represent West Little Rock.
