Rousseau Announces Retirement

February 10, Principal Nancy Rousseau announced that she is retiring at the end of the school year. Rousseau’s career at the school began in 1991. She served as an assistant principal before becoming principal in 2002. She is serving in her 24th year.

She announced her retirement in an email to parents after informing the teachers at the faculty meeting Feb. 10.

“This is the right moment for me to begin a new chapter–a decision made with gratitude, love, and a deep respect for the school that means so much to me,” Rousseau said.

Shortly after, superintendent Jermall Wright released a statement detailing the impact of Rousseau’s service to the district and school.

In a separate message, Dr. Wright said a committee will meet to interview selected candidates March 3. The superintendent will make the final decision, after receiving input from the committee.
