World Traveler, family oriented, Usher’s biggest fan.

Kimberly Burke Mayberry is all of these things and more. You may know her as a teacher of Computer Business Applications, Entrepreneurship, or Computer Programming but she leads a very fascinating life outside of the school’s walls.

Mayberry has taught at Central for 12 out of 13 years of her teaching career and has no plans to leave in the future.

“It’s something that I really love to do,” Mayberry said. “[My teaching style] is more laid back. I like to have order but I still like to have fun in the classroom.”

Mayberry is the mother of three grown children who all attend or have graduated from University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in Conway, the place she graduated from in 1989 with a degree in general business. She was in a sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA), and she is still involved with this organization to this day as one of the co-chairs of the College Application Process Program.

When she gets to go home after school, Mayberry loves to pick up a chicken sandwich and a lemonade from Chick Fil A. When she gets home, she’s greeted by her lab retriever puppy named Skout.

She also works for the airport as a ticket agent, working with United Airlines. This job provides her and her family with free flights to places across the world. She has travelled to Chicago and Hawaii and has plans to travel to Greece in the future. She considers travelling to be one of her favorite hobbies.
