Leigh Ann Wilson, an unopposed candidate for Zone 4, hopes to be a member of the school board. Wilson, who had previously been an active member in the district’s community meetings and the fight for local control, is a clinical social worker working with the sickle cell disease program.
An Arkansas local, Wilson hopes to create a board that makes the community feel listened to. “A big thing I want to accomplish is for the community to feel like they have a board who listens and cares, who are invested in students and the educators and staff of the district,” Wilson said in an interview with KUAR, University of Arkansas-Little Rock’s radio station.
