Local Lattes
Fidel and Co.’s Gourdzilla Pumpkin Spice Latte has a strong fall spice and ginger taste, with a soft note of pumpkin. The spice and ginger flavors together help balance the slightly overpowering coffee taste. The presentation of this drink was too perfect to exclude from our review, including tulip latte art. We rated this drink a 4/5 because it had delicious spice flavors but was slightly lacking in the pumpkin sweetness we were looking for.
River City Coffee’s Pumpkin Latte features a blend of nutmeg and cinnamon flavors, accompanied by a sweet punch. For people like us, who prefer a sweeter coffee over a bitter one, this latte will please your sweet tooth. Although the initial pumpkin flavor did not stand out, the foam on top added a sweet, pumpkin pie-like touch to the drink. We rated this drink a 3.5/5 because we loved the cinnamon and pie flavors but wished it had included more pumpkin elements.
Pettaway Coffee’s Pumpkin Spice Latte has a smooth blend of pumpkin pie and rich coffee flavor. This drink’s base note is the comforting flavor of classic pumpkin pie. The thick creamy foam has almost a toffee sweetness; however, it’s balanced with the cinnamon dusted on top. The Pumpkin Spice Latte from Pettaway Coffee is for those crisp fall mornings when you are craving a cozy pumpkin treat. We preferred this pumpkin spice latte over the rest and rated it 4.5/5 because of its warm sweetness and pumpkin flavors.
Mylo Coffee Co.’s Brown Sugar Pumpkin Spice Latte has a deep, earthy pumpkin flavor that pairs perfectly with fall spices. The drink tasted like fresh pumpkin, capturing the flavors of fall. The brown sugar sweetener didn’t make an appearance, leaving this drink lacking that sweet note we were looking for. However, if you’re looking for a down-to-earth drink with a bold pumpkin flavor, this drink will satisfy that craving. This drink was rated 3/5 because it was very bitter, and the sweetness was just not there.
